Erik became part of the EFS family at the start of 2024, and his journey here has been filled with Joy, Love, dedicated training, and top quality care. However, after much thoughtful consideration, we have decided to streamline our focus solely on our KFPS breeding stallions and our KFPS competition horses. This means that Erik is now available for the right APPROVED home. This decision comes with the understanding that Erik, as a stallion, needed a very specific type of owner. Fortunately, after undergoing what we affectionately refer to as “brain surgery,” (Castration) in the winter of 2025, he has transformed into a true gentleman as a GELDING—showing exceptional behavior in the barn, interacting well with other horses, and performing exceptionally well in the arena at home.

In 2023, Erik successfully competed at the 2nd level and holds a lifetime membership with both the USDF and USEF, positioning him well to advance further in his riding career. With a schoolmaster mentality in the arena, Erik showcases his calm, composed demeanor. During the spring of 2024, a long-time client rode Erik for the very first time, for three consecutive Symposium sessions. Erik impressively maintained his coolness throughout, proving his reliability and temperament with new and less experienced riders.

Erik embodies the horse of little girl’s dreams, poised to help his next rider earn medals and win competitions in their competitive endeavors. While he is deemed Youth Rider and Husband Safe, we recommend that novice and more experienced riders consider him, as Erik possesses considerable drive and may be overwhelming for a completely new beginner.

His beautiful canter and trot make him an absolute pleasure to ride, and in the arena, he exhibits a schoolmaster mentality with remarkable endurance. Erik is incredibly intelligent, learning at a rapid pace and currently schooling most 3rd level movements including a beautiful half pass! Erik is schooling flying changes with them beginning to take shape. He was a favorite among multiple Olympic medalist Imke Schellekin-Bartles during her recent visit to our facility—a testament to his talent, mind and overall appeal.
